Wolves in the Wild: Lamar Canyon Pack - Old Wolf Photography

Lamar Canyon Pack: This little girl, Middle Grey, was born in the same litter as her sister, 776F. I watched from a distance the first time they crawled out of the den near Slough Creek in Yellowstone. They were tiny balls of fur only about 5 weeks old. Here she is at about 13 months old, a yearling. As of spring 2013, after Endangered Species protection was lifted, she has become the new Alpha Female of the Lamar Canyon Pack, after the killing of the wolves in this pack by Wyoming hunters. The deaths of her mother, 06 Female, and her uncle, 754M, resulted in most of her siblings relocating to Western Wyoming. We believe she has had puppies at the old Lamar Canyon (formerly Druid) den site.
